1st stop was Big Wave Shrimp Shack. Hunny and I love this place for 3 reasons. It's yummy, it's clean and they are friendly, unlike most other shrimp shacks in which they treat you like they are doing you a favor. Becki had to do the tourist thing (being a tourist and all lol). I also forced her to get a Hawaiian Maid drink, and let her know it mixes good with Rum. She agreed. We may have to try this week!
After the shrimp shack (which Becki got grossed out, because her shrimp had leggy things on it still), we got back on Kamehameha Hwy and headed up towards Turtle beach for obvious reasons, lol.
Stephanie was driving so I was giving her typical Hawaiian directions like "over this bridge, then this way until you see cars on the side of the road by the beach and then try to park". That actually worked!!! Turtle beach is not marked by signs, only by a crowd if turtles are out sunbathing.
We found one!! We watched several swimming in the ocean, and finally one decided to come up on the sand. It was so neat, I love honu's!!
After that we went to Aoki's for shave ice. It's similar to a snow cone but the ice is so soft, it's like eating snow, with fruity flavors!
We all got one and everyone loved theirs, except Little Man. He liked playing with it though.
