A new post...

I'm so behind. I'm sorry. In October we found out we were expecting #3 and honestly...it put me out for about 2 months. (morning sickness AKA all day sickness!!!) Then we had vacations, Christmas, birthdays and here I am, MONTHS behind on this dang thing. I won't make promises to get it caught up but I might try. If I feel like it. LOL.

Today we went to Makapu'u Lighthouse and did the hike there. It's not really a hike as much as it's an uphill walk on paved path in the hot sun. It's not even really to the lighthouse, since you can only SEE it from the top...and it's below you LOL! It's also whale season, and we did see a few. Not close or anything, just a few breeching and spraying water. But very cool nonetheless!

I took the first picture on the start of the "hike", before you round the bend on the oceanside. You can see our car WAYYYYYYY down there.







Next picture is Hunny and Princess on the oceanside of the walk, heading towards the lighthouse.

Along the way we kept seeing these "starfish" type plants. I'm not sure what they are really called but they were kind of interesting.
We finally got to the top and this was the view. It was incredible...one of those reminders of how incredible Hawaii is.









And here is the very exciting (but still cute!) lighthouse! It is unmanned and is working. We also made pit stops at the Halona Blowhole to look for whales and at Bellows Beach for lunch afterwards. It was an awesome day!
