Guess what we have?

Our first broken arm. So last Sunday we (meaning myself and my three neighbors plus a friend of theirs, so that's like 4 adults plus all our combined kids) were all outside playing. There were 7 boys there between the ages of 2 and 7. THAT'S A LOT OF BOYS! :) That's a good thing but you can imagine how much fun they were having. So here's what happened. They were all outside playing--bikes, Big Wheels (motorwheel is what Little Man calls it) scooters, hoses, you name it. Some of the boys went into our house to play trains. Little Man stayed outside with a couple of them. Well...he decided to jump off a Little Tikes baby slide instead of sliding down it. Jumping just seemed like a better idea at the time, but this ended up being a bad idea....Little Man jumped and landed wrong on his wrist. He bent it toward him when he landed, breaking both the ulna and radius. I ran to him (he was rolling on the ground in pain, grabbing his arm.) You could tell by sight it was broken. UGG. Didn't look good, no bones poking out thank goodness but it was clearly broken.
Well, one of my neighbor's husband is a corpman/medic in the Navy. He was gone but she said he was on his way home, and luckily, he got home as I was getting Little Man into the car to take him to the ER. He set Little Man's arm in a split and wrapped it up good for our drive to the ER. Here's where I freaked out a little bit...I just wanted Hunny home. :( I didn't to drive Little Man to the ER myself (he was screaming in pain), I couldn't remember the best way to get to the ER, (I've only gone the "long" way) and I just needed some support. My neighbor drove her car to the hospital and I followed her) and then we ended up spending about 6 hrs there. Four sets of xrays and a plaster cast later, we were sent home.
Anyway, Little Man is doing great. He gets a new cast tomorrow and I'm sure they'll do xrays and I'm really hoping it's healing properly. Last thing I need is for my son to need surgery to correct a bad heal.
Good news is Hunny comes home in a week. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH for that!!! Other good news is my sister will be here in a few days. FEW DAYS! How awesome is that??

Oh and guess what I'm listening to??? JIMMY BUFFET!!!!!! Because I'm seeing him LIVE in WAIKIKI in a few days too.
