Chinatown

On Thursday, I went to Chinatown with my friend Jade. Neither one of us had been and I wanted to try some dim sum, so it was a date, LOL!

The market in Chinatown is awesome, and cheap! The price of bananas made our heads spin! $.39 a lb for some of them! (we pay about $.79 on base) I picked up some fresh roma tomotoes and some chili paste stuff (have no clue what to use that with LOL.) I was amazed at the variety of animal body parts you could buy, and when they say the fish is fresh, they mean it!! (imagine a video here, of catfish flopping around in a tray!)

After wandering around the markets, we went for some dim sum. I had never really had it, so we picked out a few different kinds and tried them all. They were very good!
In Chinatown are a bunch of lei shops. The flowers were so pretty! We stopped and looked at the pretty leis and red ginger on the way back to my car.
